The Trinity
Matthew 28:19
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
There are many references to Jesus as God, but I have only found one verse that implicitly mentions the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the same sentence (See Matthew 28:19). It is possible to blaspheme the Holy Spirit (See Matthew 12:31). This fact alone tells you that the Holy Spirit is a personal part of God. But the bible never explicitly mentions a "trinity" although it is assumed by comparing scripture with scripture and I assume that God is triune first: because scripture equates Jesus as God. But then we also know that the Holy Spirit is from God and teaches what Jesus taught. Since Jesus died to sit at the right hand of the Father and can't talk to everybody at once, he in turn sent His Holy Spirit to indwell believers into truth. Remember also, that man was created in the image of God and man essentially has three co-existing parts- just like our Father who is in heaven. Body, Spirit, Soul. Also, in the Book of Revelation it is revealed that Satan has three parts as well. The Dragon, the Beast (Antichrist), and the False Prophet.
What is provable beyond a doubt is that Jesus was and is God. (See: Who is Jesus?)
